BILLING
INFORMATION: When you provide your billing information upon admission
to Alaska Regional Hospital or Geneva Woods Surgery center, this information
is made available to your provider of care. You do not need to contact
us with your billing information unless you suspect that the information
is listed incorrectly or needs to be updated. Please notify us immediately
if your address, telephone number or insurance information changes. Please be aware that you will receive two bills for anesthesia services: one from the hospital, for hospital-owned supplies, equipment and medication, and one from Denali Anesthesia, for the direct care and services provided by the anesthesiologist.
INSURANCE: Denali Anesthesia bills insurance as a courtesy.
We generally bill you once your insurance has responded, unless the
carrier takes an excessively long period of time to respond to the
claim. Please keep in mind that insurance billing is a courtesy service
we provide, and that the balance due is ultimately the responsibility
of the patient (or legal guardian), and not the insurance company.
If your insurance fails to pay within 60 days, you may receive a bill
from us. In this case, we respectfully ask that you make payment on
your account, and assist in collecting from the insurance company.
COSMETIC SURGERY PROCEDURES: Anesthesia provided for cosmetic
procedures must be prepaid. Contact our office at (907) 258-2149 for
more details.
PAYMENT POLICY: Once we issue a statement to you, we ask that
payment be made in full immediately. We accept Visa and MasterCard
for your convenience. Checks should be issued to "Denali Anesthesia".
Payments can be sent to: P.O. Box 202149, Anchorage, Alaska 99520.
Payment plan arrangements can be made by contacting our office if
you are unable to pay your account in full. Please maintain a current
address and telephone number with our office in order to avoid unnecessary
collective actions.
ACCURACY OF YOUR BILL: All providers' charges are reviewed
by a physician, who is a member of the Denali Anesthesia Board of
Directors, prior to being sent to the billing office. We continue
auditing our charges once received in the billing office. Denali Anesthesia
makes all reasonable attempts to comply with pertinent Federal and
State laws. If you have any questions about your charges, or suspect
a potential error on your bill, please contact our office immediately.
24-HOUR
COVERAGE: We schedule 24-hour in-house coverage for anesthesia
care at Alaska Regional Hospital. This allows the most immediate availability
possible.
